Learning Curves and On-Demand Training

There’s a lot of theory about learning curves today, but the most effective keys to understanding how they work is to put them to the test. It needs action in real time, with real human beings, in order to get a real understanding of how things really work. Every individual has their own pace, and every concept and skill also has its own particular rules, so it’s often a matter of chemistry to determine how fast a person or an organization can, in fact, learning something.

In the realm of systems theory, there are radical new ideas that are based on how humans behave in networks , and finding correlations between organizational machines and the machines themselves. Some of the most exciting findings suggest that people are learning differently now, much faster than before, and that there are thresholds where breakthroughs are possible.

It’s sometimes necessary to prepare employees to become accustomed to a state of readiness, where learning can happen at any moment. There are also tools, like on-demand training , that take advantage of a more natural willingness to learn new skills and understand new concepts. These tools are wonderful resources that allow people to follow their own learning curve, and to take advantage of the time when the moment is right to move in new directions.

Inspired Web Design

Learning an art form is something that can take a year or two for the basics, but needs a lifetime to master. However, it’s very possible that the internet is offering a chance to level the playing field altogether, making it possible for all levels of artistry to enter the game. For web designers, the creation of a truly excellent design takes every bit as much expertise as any other art form. But they also recognize that excellence in design doesn’t transmit to sales or traffic, and often the artistic principles seem to have little to do with a site’s popularity.

It’s still important to pay close attention to elements of web design , where the overall look needs to have some artistic merit. This is because the principles of art and design are based on how people perceive color and space, and can make the difference between an eye-catching site or one that gets passed by. It’s also a feather in the cap to have a site that drives traffic but also meets design principles, because artistic flourishes can make an experience more interesting. That’s not to say that a site should strive to be sublime, but if there’s room for a bit of the sublime in the practical functions of the site, then why not?

Preserving Your Data is a Fight Worth Winning

There are many horror stories of those who got stuck, caught without any data protection at all, and subsequently suffered untold data losses which unfortunately affected their very lives and livelihoods to a great extent. These people and businesses would have had no data mishaps at all, had they had online data backup company Carbonite in their corner.

Carbonite is a data backup client offering data protection with a 15 Petabyte storage capacity, providing internet and computer users an indispensable service, at a bargain rate of only mere pennies a day. They also offer a 15-day free trial, which will give you a nice introduction to their services.

Once Carbonite data backup is setup on your computer, it requires little ongoing work on behalf of the user. It reads and stores your data as long as you’re on the internet, and users can also log on to the Carbonite site and access their files.

Also, there are no limits on backup storage capacity. Carbonite will back up all the supported files on your internal hard drive whether you have 1GB, 10GB or more. However, users should be aware that the speed of today’s DSL and cable internet services will make it very slow to back up more than, say, a few dozen GB of data.

It is a battle royale, and your precious data files lie in the balance. Paying pennies a day is an unbelievably small price to have your data securely backed up, and be assured that your gigabytes of invaluable data are protected. Carbonite, featured here on YouTube, is your best friend in the data protection business. Stay in the game and win the battle that viruses, hackers and blackouts want you to lose.

AOL to Outlook Application is a Time Saver

I am changing my email from AOL to Outlook and I was terrified that I would have to manually export my address book. But that was before I did a search for “transfer AOL address book” and found an application that does it for me. This came as a huge relief and a  giant time saver.

And while I was on the Connected Software site I found that they have a way to recover deleted emails. I cannot find several important business-related correspondences that I need and now with this program I can get all of them, even the ones in corrupt files.

I wish that I would have know about this inexpensive application before. I could have export Outlook to Notes a lot sooner and saved myself a lot of time. I’m planning on recommending this to my colleagues because we often change email addresses and when we do, our secretaries are tied up for hours making sure all of the email addresses get transferred.

I managed to transfer the majority of my files, but the emails and address book transfer really was hard for me. I searched online and found the site of Connected Software, This site had lots of treasures to help with these problems.

Other issues that I faced related to the fact that I have been using AOl and so I had to figure out how to import AOL favorites and also delete AOL mail. Once this was done I had to work out how to convert email to gmail.

Once I had got all these issues sorted my new laptop is working wonders for me!! I should have bought a new one months ago!!
