Most people associated major software needs with large companies, corporations or other major organizations, such as health care systems or government offices. And while it is certainly true that all of the above mentioned fields have standard software and database needs, and are likely to have some IT personnel on staff, almost any type of business can benefit from a quality software program. In addition, the technological needs of various industries is stronger and more diverse than what most people would imagine. For instance, if you’re planning to start a non-profit theatre company, you will have both software and technology needs that will be essential for your success. Marlabs, Inc is an excellent resource not only for assisting with theatrical databases, but also the software needs of diverse businesses and various fields. This is an extremely competitive world we’re all trying to succeed in, and it’s just as important to remain competent in various technological aspects as it is to have the best product or service available.

One of the obvious ways in which a theatre company uses technology is on the stage itself. In an large and elaborate production, the recent Broadway fiasco that is Spiderman comes to mind, there is a tremendous amount of sophisticated technology in play with the performers. And at a vary basic level, you will want to have the most advanced lighting and sound system that you can afford, both of which are always changing due to advances in technology. Regardless of the size of your theatre or the types of productions you’ll want to stage, there are certain technological demands that will be incorporated into your budget.

If you’re a new theatre company , one of the first things you’re going to want to do is develop a strong database of patrons and funding sources. This can all be part of the same program, and as many theatres rely strongly on the donations of private individuals, this information can easily overlap. A comprehensive database might include various information on the preferences, lifestyle habits and other individual information on audience members and potential patrons that relates to their specific interest in attending any given production. In addition, season subscribers can be recognized and audience members that are also private contributors can be designated. With a quality database, all of these people or those from a select population can be accessed through a simple query. A single search can separate single production attendance from seasonal subscribers and also from private donators or it can pull them all together. This is just a fraction of potential benefits a quality database built by a professional company, as is testified by Marlabs testimoniials will due for a theatre company.

Central Park may well be the most famous park in the world and while it is probably the favorite for New York residents and tourists alike, it is certainly not the only park in the city. NYC is actually full of great parks and each has an atmosphere or thematic offering unique to itself. New York takes pride, well in everything it does, in its parks and this extends into the botanic gardens and other specialty park zones. The New York Botanical Garden is in the Bronx and is one of the highlights of many people’s trips to the city. This amazing garden is full of unique plants and flowers and has exhibits that can’t be found anywhere else.

There are many specific gardens in the park and each has a particular theme or plant species focus of its own. From the Rock Garden to the Children’s Adventure Garden and the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, each of these individual garden areas is special and complete on its own. These are just a few of the many. If you’re going to be staying in one of the better New York city hotels , you will be able to find information on the various exhibits and gardens as well as transportation referrals from the front desk.

The Enid A. Haupt Conservatory is a great place to explore rain forest climate conditions and plant life as well as those from the desert, such as various cacti and an assortment of plants, flowers and foliage. This is the only place you can experience such a diverse ecology within minutes of each other and without the need of a passport. The Rock Garden has been described as the most beautiful of its kind and it is certainly a paradise unto itself. The colorful flowers and plants that surround rocks and stones create an enchanted feeling. The Everett Children’s Adventure Garden is a favorite for children from two to twelve years old. There are beautiful larger than life flowers and great hands on activities. And there are even a few mazes which are a hit with children and adults alike.

Tina Fey, star and creator of NBC’s 30 Rock, appears to have it all; successful career, supportive family, good looks. However, not everyone is happy with her successful life. Some viewers of the show claim that she is playing too much on the nerdy single girl and while it was funny at first, it isn’t now. But agree or not, she is a comedian. Why is it that just when a celebrity reaches a pinnacle in their career, that we all of the sudden feel the need to pick apart everything they say and do? It’s interesting to say the least. Visit ivillage.com for the whole story.

Who doesn’t love the Toy Story movies? As children we all imagined our toys coming to life, and in Toy Story we got to see it happen. On top of that Disney/Pixar used toys that many of us played with, like Mr. Potato Head, that brought us back to our childhood. When I heard that they would soon be releasing a third movie in the series, I’ll admit I was more than a little skeptical. After all, how much further can with a story about toys? But I will do my best to remain open minded until I see the movie. That is until I heard about this. Pixar added some new characters to this movie, which is fine. A lovable old bear call Lots of Loving Bear. But instead of just leaving it at that, they created a 1980’s commercial to help us “remember” this bear and stir up nostalgic feelings for something that never existed until now. I’m all for authenticity, but I think this might be a little much. You can watch the commercial as well as a clip from the movie here.

Outdoor concerts occur throughout the summer season in parks all over Manhattan and the surrounding New York boroughs. The Metropolitan Opera is one of the city’s premiere performance organizations that has performances in area parks including special engagements at Central Park. This is one of the most popular activities for many of the city’s residents to do on any given summer evening. It is also one of the great and sometimes surprising event opportunities for the guests in some of New York’s finest hotels . Whatever the reason you are in New York, and regardless of the amount of time you will be spending there, attending an outdoor performance of the Met or a number of other organizations will be one of the top experiences of your stay.

The Metropolitan Opera offers their fabulous outdoor performances in Central Park free to the public as part of the SummerStage concert series. This is an incredible seasonal series of free public concerts that are attended by thousands of audiences members from across the world every year. This summer will be its twenty fifth season and the Met is proud to be one of the event’s excellent performance offerings. Last year the company’s list of summer performances included number of quality performances from some of the top operatic singers. These concerts were found throughout the parks in Manhattan, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island

New York’s premiere opera company has an extensive schedule of outdoor performances and they are based in various parks and venues. They are presented free to the public and serve not only as promotional and sometimes introductory educational opportunities but also to provide great performances to opera lovers throughout the summer and in various locations. The free performances also makes them available to audiences in all economic demographics and various financial situations. The Lincoln Center plaza was one of the primary locations for concerts in last year’s program and is expected to be again this year. In addition to the live performances the company introduced a new HD screening festival of ten of its productions.

It has been stated, and not entirely humorously oriented, that eating is the national pastime in Singapore. This is not intended to indicate that the city-state is actually a collection of couch potatoes. That is definitely not the case. Instead it is reflective of the passion for great cuisine that is found throughout the population. Fabulous food from around the world can be found in Singapore and is generally included in most activities and events. Even the outdoor movie theatre, Starlight Cinema, suggest you bring a picnic meal and enjoy some good food while watching a great film. Not only is this an example of the importance of food to the culture, but it also serves to demonstrate one of the top five things to do while visiting Singapore. The Starlight Cinema is located in Fort Canning Park and watching an evening film there is a fabulous way to spend your evening. And while this won’t be counted as one of the five, exploring all of the offerings at Fort Canning is highly recommended when visiting Singapore.

Visiting the Singapore Botanic Gardens is another great way to spend your time. These beautiful gardens features swaths of tropical rain forests among the occasional practitioner of tai chi. In addition, they are open well into the evening and viewing all of the plants and flowers at night can be a great experience. Another recommended activity is taking a trip to Singapore’s Chinatown. Great food, as should be expected, shopping and cultural heritage attractions are main features of this part of the city. The Singapore Flyer is one of those must needs visit attractions and has been described as the city’s version of London’s Eye. It is currently the world’s largest observation wheel and provides incredible views of the city and beyond. Seeing one of the city’s productions of Cantonese Opera is another strongly suggested experience that tourists should explore while visiting Singapore. There are plenty of quality companies that have productions throughout the year. This is an experience that might change the way you view live performance.

Reality shows make up a more than half of the shows on television these days. From extreme wilderness survival to finding love, no matter your interests you can find a reality show about it. However, as bogged down by reality shows as we have become, CBS may have found a new hit with Undercover Boss. Undercover Boss follows the presidents and CEO’s of major companies around for a day while they place themselves in their employee’s shoes. And while we would all like to see the corporate execs brought down a couple levels, the experience is proving to be eye opening for both parties.

Kicking off the Aintree John Smith Grand National horse race will be Liverpool day, Thursday 8 April. This is a day dedicated to the great city the race is held in, with a plethora of Liverpool inspired sports, entertainment and music.

To head off the first ever Liverpool day, organizers are taking steps to utilize the great masses who love their sport and try to make that day a bank holiday for the city. Inspired by the Australians who have already set aside a bank holiday for one of their horse races, and not to be outdone, it is now Liverpool’s turn. They are on Facebook, Twitter and even have their own online petition to the Prime Minister that you can sign to help make this a reality.

Until then, they will just have to settle for the best of the best showing up and entertaining at Aintree. If you want to see some of these people you are going to have to get your hands on some tickets because they are going really fast and the time is almost up. For one thing, the Bootleg Beatles, one of the best Beatles tribute bands will be playing. With the recent resurgence of Beatles Mania that has been going around, this is very exciting news. It is only the beginning of the Beatles Mania and a number of other Beatles themed events are planned for Liverpool day including wax sculptures of the four man group. If that isn’t enough excitement, Ricky Tomlinson an actor heralding from Liverpool and best known from his role in the Royal Family is set to be starting off the festivities for Liverpool day as well as the whole horse racing weekend. If this is not the kind of thing you are interested in maybe the hat that has been specially designed, not for Ladies Day which is known for the extravagant hats, but rather for Liverpool day will be unveiled that day. There has been a little leak about the general ideas for what the hat will look like but we won’t have any photos of it until the day of.

Even in all the other excitement, don’t forget that there will be races going on that day. It is not just about the music and entertainment, but really it is about the wonderful world of horse races that draws crowds to these grounds, and it remains one of Liverpool’s favorite sports.
