A Zen Moment after Shopping in Vancouver

Posted in Travel

The Metropolis at Metrotown is British Columbia’s largest shopping center, with approximately 450 stores. Its size and wide variety of shops attract millions of individual shoppers hoping to find what that special something and have great time doing it.

Not just a mall but a destination in of itself. The Metrotown hosts one-of-a-kind events and is home to a variety of restaurants and theaters. The Grand Court of this city of stores hosts a stunning array of events from Cirque du Soleil performances and other unique events to pop/rock idol and talent competitions.

That will keep you busy for hours but you won’t want to spend your whole day there, despite the fact the teens in your group might beg to. So, after your trip to the mall you might want to head back to which ever of the Vancouver hotels you’ve decided to base your trip out of to prepare for your other destinations. If the bustle of Metrotown warrants something a bit more relaxing you should head to Chinatown.

The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden is a soothing year round paradise. Here tranquility and balance rule. In fact the garden was designed using Taoist principles of the balance of four main elements: rock, water, plants, and architecture. These come together to create a serene haven to center yourself before taking on the rest of Vancouver.
