Mercado Central of Valencia Spain is one of the oldest farmers markets in Europe. Over 8 centuries of history, stunning buildings and fresh Authentic Valencia produce; fruit, vegetables and flowers. On one side, Mercado Central offers dried sausages, jambon and local cheeses. On the other side, there are fish vendors selling an unimaginable amount of seafood. It’s huge 8000 square meter expanse of steel and glass decorated with the traditional ceramic tiles makes one feel welcome. A social place to meet old friends and socialize while buying ingredients for your evening meal or find exquisite Valencia delicacies that make a good souvenirs or gift that are not mass produced. Many Valencia Hotels are located next to this wonderful open air market.

Shops are open here throughout the week with lots of Valencia ceramics. Sundays are the best days to go because there is more produce and goods to choose from and more people to meet.
