Visiting Newcastle in England
When you are visiting a new town or city many people want to get a feel for the local culture and hang out where locals hang out. Newcastle in England is a highly rated city by visitors In the past it was heavily industrialized with major steel, coal and shipbuilding plants. This means that it has much in the ways of visible history as well as amazing coastal scenery and desolate hillsides.
Newcastle is a bike friendly place if the weather is good. There are many places to lock a bike up in the city center as well as cycle lanes on the streets. A few of the Metro stations provide storage for bicycles. Areas to visit include the Quayside, Ouseburn and Jesmond Dene within the city and Whitley Bay and Seaton Sluice on the coast.
The people of Newcastle are so friendly and very helpful so if you ever need help do not hesitate to ask. There is a vibrant folk music scene which is often located in pubs. Check the local newspapers for listings.
