DTP leader Demirtas in Europe “attending to business” while reports of false military excuse circulate

With allegations that he used a false hospital report to get out of having to do his required military service, Nurettin Demirtas, the recently elected general leader of the largely Kurdish Democratic Society Party (DTP), has said he has business to take care of in Europe, and will not be returning to Turkey at all during the month of December.

Board takes care of business during light meeting

Business was light during the final regular meeting prior to the Christmas break for the Douglas Unified School District Governing Board. The meeting was less than 90 minutes despite to short executive sessions to address personnel issues.
