FURNESS Building Society appears to be cashing in as rival Northern Rock sinks further into financial trouble. The Furness, which has two branches in Barrow as well as outlets in Dalton, Ulverston, Millom and Grange, reports a rise in business as anxious customers flee Northern Rock.
